The New Light Foundation has announced its receipt of an international grant from the 1-2-3 Kinderlachen e.V. Foundation of Rottenburg, Germany.
Through this grant, it will be the United States representative to host the international ‘Global Gallery’ children’s festival at its premises, supplying the necessary art supplies, snacks, games and gifts for the participating children.
The ‘Global Gallery’ project (123kinderlachen.org) sponsors children’s festivals around the world during which children of all cultures paint pictures together. Each of the paintings have a message that is passed around the globe to other children. During the festival, children exchange views of neighboring countries or ethnic groups within their own county, or maybe within their own group. During the course of this important project, the “world’s biggest picture” emerges; painted by children and transcending all borders and conflicts.
The New Light Foundation, Inc. is a Non-Profit Corporation whose mission is to provide community outreach through the arts and education.
Foundation president and VP respectively; artists Wendy White and Roland Ruocco, both have a following in New York and Europe, and are entering their eighth year in their working art studio/gallery/theater in South Florida.
