‘Taking The Pulse: Art Now’ is a six-week course that will help make sense of what is happening in the heterogeneous field of contemporary art.
Participants will explore with instructor Suzanne Hudson, works on view at the Whitney Museum in downtown galleries to identify some of the most significant trends and artists working today.
Hudson is Assistant Professor at University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, in residence at the Philips Collection Center for the Study of Modern Art, Washington D.C. She is also co-founder of the Contemporary Art Think Tank and president of the College Art Association-affiliated Society of Contemporary Art Historians.
