This year's 100% Design trade exhibition will feature a new floorplan, a "festival spirit" - and possibly Designersblock.
Designed by Jam, the new floorplan will feature spaces for live performances. It will also offer flexible display concepts to appeal to cash-strapped exhibitors.
100% Design exhibition director Peter Massey says that while exhibitor numbers are roughly in line with previous years, "people are taking smaller spaces or sharing stands to reduce costs".
100% Design appointed Jam in January after a competitive pitch. "We have a strong vision for a much bolder approach with a festival spirit," says Jam director Jamie Anley.
This year's exhibition will embrace work from disciplines besides furniture and interior design, the traditional areas of focus for 100% Design.
"People who attend 100% Design want inspiration, and this can come from car design, graphics or illustration", says Anley.
Designersblock is in talks with 100% Design to take space at the Earls Court-based event.
The new floorplan will be unveiled in April.
Tom Dixon designed the 2007 show.
