Uprise Works, Mozaik Media Join Forces For New Media Initiatives
PRESS RELEASE

March 2009

Uprise Works and Mozaik Media have entered a joint venture to develop dynamic mobile applications. They have entered the market with a Radio iPhone Application service which includes basic features such as a branded station icon, customized and branded station home screen, streaming audio with on/off and volume control, placement in the iPhone store, and usage statistics.

The option of adding custom features such as podcast and video archives, social network contests, ticket giveaways, and more are pushing the boundaries found on current iPhone Apps. Uprise Works is managing all sales and marketing as Mozaik Media is building out the technology.

"We have some creative madmen and women on our team that are bursting with new ideas that are going to push the boundaries we have seen so far with mobile technology", said Fabian Alsultany, founder and CEO of Uprise Works.

An entrepreneur in the world music industry and former Director of A&R and Festivals for Chris Blackwell's Palm Pictures, Alsultany claims "…in the next few months we will be operating on multiple platforms, across a variety of industries. It's an exciting time to be inspired and innovative with all the new toys that are showing up in the marketplace. By joining our strong connections and resources we are going to be opening new markets and creating new revenue models for our clients. This joint venture is an important step forward in our efforts to build our collective new media initiatives for the years ahead".

Spearheading the radio initiative is former Director of Radio for leading independent record label Putumayo World Music, Angela Huffstutler, Co-Founder and Managing Director of Uprise Works.

"Every radio station in the world is looking to build their audience, engage their listener, hold their attention with unique content and keep their listeners informed about what is relevant to them. We have built a platform where users can download their favorite station app for free, listen live anytime and interact with the host and even other listeners if a live chat is incorporated into the app,” Huffstutler said.

“The station can update their content regularly to keep it fresh. We are expanding the platform regularly, it's an exciting time for radio and music as this technology is only limited to our imagination."

Founder and Creative Director of Mozaik Media, Beryl Jacobson said, "I realize, however, that many radio stations, bands, festivals and labels won't want a standardized app like everyone else, they will want it personalized. We have developed a web based Content Management System (CMS), where clients can update their application content at their convenience to keep it fresh and engaging for their audience.”

“We also offer our in-house design services as well as work with the clients design team to perfect the look and feel for them! This partnership between Mozaik and Uprise allows us to bring our incredibly diverse talents to the table to develop customized applications and assist in proper concept and new media marketing of the app!"

Uprise Works and Mozaik Media are in the process of developing mobile applications for festivals, record labels, film, television, bands, educators, celebrities and organizations.
