Continental Clothing is among the most up to date wholesale blank apparel brands worldwide. All its energy, resources and experience are applied to improving its products and services. Its focus for over a decade has been to make its clients look good.
And now the innovative company has come up with an industry first. Continental Clothing and The Carbon Trust have launched the World's first life-cycle carbon footprint labels for clothing, calculated using the new British foot printing Standard PAS 2050.
This initiative of the company is part of a sustainable action plan of the government. The new collection will provide the carbon footprint for the entire lifecycle of the clothing starting from raw material till the clothes are disposed by consumers.
The new line will carry the carbon reduction label which will inform the consumer about the Carbon footprint in the lifecycle of the garment and will also guide him on his contribution while laundering, drying and ironing.
The company in turn has taken the initiative to reduce carbon emissions by up to 90 percent in all its apparel manufacturing units, through the use of renewable and sustainable resources and in the process has been able to reduce the carbon footprint.
