Texas A&M University Art Galleries presents the exhibition ARchiTecture: College of Architecture Faculty Biennial 2009.
This exciting exhibition, entering its ninth year of production in a partnership between the Stark Galleries and the Texas A&M College of Architecture, was developed to showcase the gifted faculty members housed in the university's nationally renowned Architecture program.
The 24 artists weren't limited by any particular theme or required medium, resulting in a sweeping survey of their unique interests and talents, as diverse as the group of participants themselves.
Featured in the exhibition are faculty and staff members from the Architecture and Visualization Sciences departments, with one participant from Landscape Architecture and Urban Planning- Associate Professor Michael Murphy, who was recently named among the "Most Admired Educators of 2009" by the annual Design Futures Council publication America's Best Architecture & Design Schools.
Additional long time faculty showcased in the exhibition include Senior Lecturer Mary Ciani Saslow, Visualization Assistant Department Head William Jenks, and Associate Professor Robert J. Schiffhauer.
Newer faculty members participating this year include Assistant Professor Joshua Bienko and Assistant Professor Weiling He.
