This exhibition is a solo feature for Amy Cannady, a Dallas-based artist, who defines her style and method in her contemplative nature as an artist.
Cannady maintains the airy and ethereal quality throughout her work, and the ability to layer paint in multiple transparent washes, inviting viewers to look further into her expressions.
Within them, Cannady explores coexistence between tensions and serenities, commenting on life’s mysteries and ambiguities.
Cannady has studied and continues to be influenced by the strong lines used by the artists Joan Mitchell, Philip Guston, Cy Twombly, and David Smith.
