Slide Inc., a leading social entertainment company, and Katalyst Media, an original content production company co-founded by Ashton Kutcher and Jason Goldberg have announced the season finale of the 12-episode Web series ‘KatalystHQ.’
TheKatalystHQ integrated approach to content and branding coupled with exclusive distribution through Slide’s FunSpace exemplifies one of the most effective ways for advertisers to reach an engaged audience of millions.
Unique to FunSpace is also the ability for KatalystHQ fans to build community and discussion around the content and serve as brand ambassadors. Viewers are able to post content to their profiles, subscribe to the weekly episodes, and share each video virally with their social network of friends.
“We are thrilled with the results of KatalystHQ on Slide’s FunSpace,” said Jason Goldberg, co-founder of Katalyst Media.
“The series began as a bit of an experiment for Katalyst, to see if we could create serialized content for Web audiences that mirrors the engagement and reach of traditional broadcast television. As the season concludes, we are pleased to report KatalystHQ is attracting an audience that is on par with primetime programming on cable networks.”
Initially conceptualized and created for the Facebook audience by Kutcher and his team, KatalystHQ takes a voyeuristic look into the inner workings of a Hollywood-based entertainment company. The series is a “fly-on-the-wall” reality parody about working in Kutcher’s production office and follows the experiences of Katalyst’s staff as they humorously navigate the excitement and perils of corporate life set against a backdrop of the television and film industry.
The Katalyst HQ Web series on FunSpace has resulted in:
“It’s really exciting to see our audience’s interest in KatalystHQ,” said Slide founder and CEO Max Levchin.
“It’s even more exciting to see the success of this business model and to give advertisers a way to truly integrate and present their brand.”
KatalystHQ is the first sponsored Web series to premiere on Facebook.
