Web Marketing Association Call For Entries To Best Architecture Website
PRESS RELEASE

Deadline: 29 May 2009

The Web Marketing Association is calling for entries to its 13th annual international WebAward Competition, amongst which is for the category for Architecture Website.

The WebAwards is the standards-defining competition that sets benchmarks for 96 industries, including architecture web sites, based on the seven criteria of a successful Web site.

Deadline for architecture web sites to enter to be judged is May 29, 2009.

"The architecture industry is very competitive when it comes to Web development and companies can benefit from the independent evaluation of their online efforts," said William Rice, president of Web Marketing Association.

"Last year was the first time the WebAwards had an architecture category. As new entrants, they turned out a stellar performance, scoring above average in all of the seven criteria, with the best scores for design and ease of use."

Web sites are judged on seven criteria including design, innovation, content, technology, interactivity, copy writing and ease of use. Each WebAward entry is judged against other entries in its industry category and then against an overall standard of excellence.

Last year marked the second time Web Marketing Association named the Best Architecture Website based on the scores submitted by the competition judges. The recent winners of the Best Architecture Web site went to:

2008 Nobox Marketing Group for The Michelle Kaufmann Blog

2007 Built Form for the Built Form Web Site

2006 VMDO for Architects for VMDO Architects web site

A complete list of past winners and the entry form for companies who wish to compete for 2009 honors can be found at the best Architecture Web site page.

Using the quantifiable data collected from more than 23,600 website evaluations over the past decade, the WebAwards has defined and recognized industry-specific benchmarks for successful websites in each of the seven judging criteria and released an Internet Standards Assessment Report to detail the findings of the study. A copy of the 2009 Internet Standards Assessment Report, including details regarding the architecture industry, will be provided to all participants
