MUW Saatchi & Saatchi in Slovakia has reconfirmed its uncontested creative leadership in the market by landing an unprecedented 17 awards out of a total 43 at the recent annual Golden Nails ceremony in Bratislava.
With 8 golds, 3 silvers, 6 bronzes, 27 shortlists, the Grand Prix and the Client of the Year trophy (for Kooperativa Insurance’s TVC ‘Trucks’) the agency scored its best result ever, as well as setting the overall agency record in the event’s history.
The success of MUW Saatchi & Saatchi’s creative power was amplified by the fact that most of the awarded campaigns were developed for big clients: T-Mobile, Ringier, Radio Expres, Rajo milk and Aupark.
“This is the signal we want to send to the market–in tough economic times our creative potential is catalysing our clients’ business,” said Juraj Miskov, CEO of MUW Saatchi & Saatchi, after the ceremony.
“Creativity is not an agency competition discipline made for award shows – it helps creating emotional bonds of our clients’ brands with the people out there, and driving real sales.”
The most awarded piece of the night was the ‘Messages’ launch campaign for T-Mobile’s new ‘Life is for sharing’ positioning, winning the Grand Prix, 4 golds, 2 silvers and 2 bronzes. The jury appreciated the innovative consumer-centric approach of the campaign. T-Mobile offered all its media space on billboards, prints, radio and TV to personal messages from the public–in total over 1,500 unique messages were broadcast.
The agency also performed excellently in online and interactive categories, picking up 3 golds and a silver out of an available six awards.
“In comparison with big world award shows many works here, especially in online and new media, were a nice surprise to me. The pieces in these two categories were really highly creative and mostly more powerful than the work in the traditional media categories. The global trend also shows big creative potential and courage in new categories. It is great that Slovakia follows the same trend,” said Leon Sverdlin, chairman of the Golden Nails 2009 Jury and CD, Mark BBDO Prague.
“I am also surprised that many great ads were produced for big companies who are generally more conservative advertisers.”
This is the fifth time in the last six Golden Nails competitions that MUW Saatchi & Saatchi has topped the awards table as the most creative agency.
