ConsumerSearch.com has been recognized by The Webby Awards as an Official Honoree in the ‘Guides, Ratings and Reviews’ category for its 13th annual competition.
ConsumerSearch, which analyzes expert and user-generated consumer product reviews and recommends the best products to purchase based on their findings, received this distinction for work exhibiting remarkable achievement.
The Webby Awards is the leading international award honoring excellence on the Internet, including Web sites, interactive advertising, online film and video and mobile Web sites.
"We are very pleased and honored to be recognized by The Webby's for ConsumerSearch.com," said Cella Irvine, president and CEO, The About Group.
"This is a tremendous accomplishment and a testament to the quality content that our Web sites provide to our users."
The 13th Annual Webby Awards received more than 9,000 entries from more than 60 countries and from all 50 states. Out of all the entries submitted, fewer than 15 per cent received this honor and were deemed Official Honorees. The awards are judged by the International Academy of Digital Arts & Sciences, a global organization that includes David Bowie, Internet pioneer Vinton Cerf, RealNetworks CEO Rob Glaser, Matt Groening, Arianna Huffington, AKQA global creative director Rei Inamoto, Jamie Oliver and Harvey Weinstein.
The About Group comprises the websites About.com, ConsumerSearch.com, UCompareHealthCare.com and Caloriecount.about.com, all part of The New York Times Company.
