Worktank, a Seattle-based, full-service integrated advertising agency, has announced that it will produce an animated comedy series titled ‘City Council 3050 AD’ with Zune Productions.
‘City Council 3050 AD,’ an original comedy conceived by Worktank, is based on local government C-SPAN channels that broadcast the mundane proceedings of city business. The show, set in the future, uses this dry backdrop to offer humor and absurdity, taking modern local and national political issues and recasting them in the future.

Earlier this year, Zune launched an innovative project to develop online shows, which it will make available exclusively as free downloads from the Zune Marketplace online store. Zune is working with some of the most talented actors, directors, and producers in the entertainment industry to create the shows, which range from live-action and animated comedy to urban and music programming.
Worktank has developed a group of irreverent characters for ‘City Council 3050 AD,’ including Mrs. Beverly Dravus, Council President; Lady Vorraxia, the Mystical Green Alien Treasurer; and Zone Monitor Unit 1036, a Cylindrical Robot Councilman.
Worktank will screen the pilot episode of ‘City Council 3050 AD’ later this month in Seattle.
