Leo Burnett Tops 2009 Big Won First Quarter Report

Leo Burnett Worldwide has had a spectacular start to the year, earning it the #1 spot as Top Agency Group in the World, in the Big Won’s first quarter report. Major contributors to the success are Leo Burnett Beirut, Leo Burnett Frankfurt, and Leo Burnett Mumbai, who all feature on the world’s Top 20 Agencies list, at #3, #12 and #17 respectively.

The results are taken from an analysis of awards performance from January 1 to April 20, including two major awards shows in the Middle East, two in London, three in the U.S., as well as AdPrint in Romania and AdFest in Thailand.

The Big Won is a survey of the world’s best marketing communications as measured by the quantity and quality of awards won. Founded in 2003 as The Won Report–the first analysis of what was happening in below-the-line and digital communications–the Big Won has since grown to encompass all awards across all categories. Points are allocated according to the quantity and quality of awards won. In 2008 they logged nearly 12,000 awards won by 1,702 different agencies, with credits to over 22,000 different people.
