At a time when product innovation and revenue-generating market solutions are more important than ever, the Flexographic Technical Association (FTA) has selected the Kodak Flexcel NX Digital Flexographic System as the sole recipient of its 2009 Flexographic Technical Association Technical Innovation Award.
“Kodak brings a wealth of knowledge and market insight to its family of flexo platemaking solutions, and to be recognized by one of the industry’s premier associations speaks to the quality, efficiency, and productivity we’ve been able to deliver to customers with the Flexcel NX System,” said John Cross, General Manager, Packaging Products, Prepress Solutions, Kodak.
The FTA congratulated Kodak for having its technology chosen as the sole recipient of the award. The association noted that the judging was once again very competitive, and the award is highly respected within the industry.
Winner of the 2008 PIA/GATF InterTech Technology Award and the Flexographic Pre-Press Platemakers Association (FPPA) Technology Innovator of the Year Award, the Kodak Flexcel NX Digital Flexographic System provides previously unachievable offset class, gravure quality printing on a wide variety of substrates—including paper, flexible film, foil, paperboard, and label stock. The Flexcel NX System helps ensure stability and repeatability, both in prepress and on press.
A number of Kodak customers also received Excellence in Print Awards in a variety of categories from FTA for projects produced using the Flexcel NX System.
