The American Institute of Architects (AIA) is part of Transportation of America, a broad coalition calling for the renewal of our national transportation program for the 21st century.
While seeking to align national, state and local transportation policies with numerous national priorities, the coalition’s shared goal is the development of a modernized infrastructure to support a thriving economy and healthy communities.
“The Transportation for America platform echoes the findings from a recent study the AIA conducted that was presented to Congress last year,” said AIA VP Government and Community Relations, Paul T. Mendelsohn.
“With the upcoming debate over federal transportation policy, we have a rare window of opportunity to not only make necessary improvements, but ensure that when we build, we build better: more transportation choices, livable communities, and sustainable public planning.”
