Diamond Ogilvy Group Media has been appointed Mirae Asset Financial Group’s global media partner with the mission of promoting the Group’s media buying activities globally on a budget of approximately USD4.6 million.
Mirae provides a full range of financial services including asset management, wealth management and investment banking and has widely grown its business with a focus on Asia Pacific since 2007. In 2009, it plans to increase its marketing communications efforts across the UK, Asia Pacific, India and Brazil.
Diamond Ogilvy will also work closely with Mirae’s in-house agency, Brand Moove, for its global marketing communications campaign.
Diamond Ogilvy Group Media lead account manager for the project, Donna Kim says, “Our capability as a media master agency that we earned since we were known as Diamond Ad, and served as in-house agency of Hyundai and KIA Motors gave us the advantage as opposed to certain agencies that have only a limited capability to handle each media segment”.
“In the near future, the Korean out-bound media market will grow to a great extent as many Korean private companies and some public sector firms try to develop their overseas business. However, there are very few media agencies that can handle the overseas media buying activities with our acumen,” says Sung Woo, Diamond Ogilvy Group Media MD.
