This month the Dutch new luxury jeans and fashion label opened their own store in Capetown. This is one of the first steps of Blue Blood towards their International expansion.
“We are staying close to our roots” says Sales director Alex Jaspers.
“The interior design is inspired by the Amsterdam based ‘Love for denim’ store in the Prinsenstraat, and the store is located in an old Dutch Reformed Church in Capetown. It is very special that we could acquire this property.”
Blue Blood ‘Downtown Capetown’ is located on the Breestraat in the ‘downtown’ part of Capetown, comparable with the Amsterdam 9 streets. In the ‘blessed’ premises, next to the denim store of Blue Blood, other high-end hip entrepreneurs are also established: ‘Brewer’s Union’, a biological beer brewery which brews its beer with champagne-yeast; ‘Scar’, the coolest hairdresser of Capetown and ‘Cheynes’ a restaurant with 1 star and only 1 table ( for 18 persons nonetheless).
“It is fantastic to see that our outspoken style and passion for jeans also hits South-Africa” says Blue Blood founder Steve te Pas.
“It is our ambition to open more own stores in the coming years, in the Netherlands as well as internationally.”
The new store has the nickname BS104; all Blue Blood stores are being named after the abbreviation of their address, such as PC142, PS13, CS18 and NW35. This codename you can find back on the limited edition shopping bags, tshirts and other branding.
