Photographer/artist, Michel Tcherevkoff's Shoe Fleur collection will be included in an exhibition entitled 'In Her Shoes' at the Fashion Museum in Hasselt, Belgium. Tcherevkoff will attend the opening night of the exhibition to personally introduce his designs and share his perspective with guests.
The exhibition in Hasselt is dedicated to the historic development of women's shoes from 1900 until the present day.
Tcherevkoff's work will be featured for his floral fantasy interpretation of shoes.
The Shoe Fleur exhibition will also be shown this coming August and September at the Luton Museum Stockwood Discovery Center in Luton, England.
Last fall his Shoe Fleur designs were exhibited in Sydney, Australia. "Creating artifacts out of fresh flowers speaks to the short seasons of fashion and style --- as I photograph the flowers they are changing - devolving evolving - it's the process of change that I find beautiful," says Tcherevkoff.
Tcherevkoff's book "Shoe Fleur: A Footwear Fantasy", was first published in September 2007 in the United States.
The following July in 2008, the French version of the book was published in France to coincide with the exhibition of his Shoe Fleur designs at Bon Marché in Paris.
Currently, Tcherevkoff is developing a second book, which consists of his artistic vision of gossamer intimates created from flowers on nudes.
He also has conceived and created an entire series of butterflies and moths from flowers, entitled "Metafleur".
