Clear Channel Spectacolor Launches The Times Square Sign

Clear Channel Spectacolor, a division of Clear Channel Outdoor, has launched New York City’s very own sign that says to every visitor that they have indeed stepped into The Big Apple. Like other American cities, Hollywood and Las Vegas, that have their own signs, New York finally gets its own, and in the heart of Times Square at 47th Street.

The sign measures 150’ tall by 12’ wide and soars over 250 feet above street level of Broadway. This means exposure to over 500,000 daily visitors to the city.

Aptly named The Times Square Sign, it will literally be a huge opportunity for brands to greet that size of an audience. This classic double-sided ‘blade sign; has unparalleled viewing distances along Broadway from Herald Square to as far North as 56th St., providing it with sightlines unlike any other sign location in Manhattan.

The creative execution posted on the location during official launch is a teaser and serves as a placeholder. The company has a spectacular execution developed that involves incredible use of technology, which is being unveiled on an exclusive basis to advertisers interested in this flagship sponsorship opportunity to be associated with The Times Square Sign.

For the audience, pedestrians and visitors in Times Square have an opportunity to submit a digital photo of themselves, friends or family in front of the new sign to www.TimesSquareSign.com for a chance to win a night out on Broadway for two! Two Grand prizes winners will be chosen and each will receive two tickets to a Broadway Show and dinner for two at The Hard Rock Café in Times Square.
