BASH Creations is inviting all artists, performers and speakers involved in environmental issues to apply for the Sustainable Art Awards; a national competition to find the best in sustainable and eco art.
Winners will feature in a two-week exhibition in Central London, chosen by a panel of industry experts and invited to the glamorous awards night opening that will be promoted nationally. Winners will also be presented with a Sustainable Art Award at the opening night.
Among the judges who will be evaluating the works of art are: Michalea Crimmin, Head of Arts RSA; Steve Burt, CEO EQ2; Anna Blackman – Co-Founder PhotoVoice; Sydney Levinson, Trustee of the Institute of Contemporary Arts & Cockpit Arts; Cedric Christie – Curator; Jenny Bates, London Campaigns co-ordinator for Friends of the Earth; Paul Carey Kent – Editor, Art World Magazine; Laure Genillard, Gallerist and Trustee of the Henry Moore Foundation.
The Sustainable Art Awards is part of Respond! Respond! aims to engage arts audiences in discussing and questioning environmental change.
Respond! highlights how the arts industries are in a unique position to communicate environmental issues. Featuring exhibitions, talks, programmes, workshops and other activities. Respond! is an initiative co-founded by the Arts and Ecology center at The Royal Society of The Arts and BASH Creations.
This month will reflect a vibrant fusion between environmental awareness and creativity.
