Deadline: 01 September 2009
In a joint effort by AIA Board Knowledge Committee and the AIA College of Fellows, the Institute is now calling for proposals for research projects to be completed in an 18-month period beginning December 1, 2009.
AIA will award up to four grants between $15,000 and $30,000 each, for selected projects. The requested funds must be hard dollar matched with a maximum of 10 per cent of funds going towards overheard (i.e. indirect) costs.
All submissions this year must be blind. Preferences will be given to proposals that have teams comprising of both academics and practitioners.
A panel of seven professionals from the AIA Board Knowledge Committee and the AIA College of Fellows—which includes representatives of both the academic community and the profession—will evaluate each submission and select grant awardees.
This grant qualifies recipients to have their findings and outcomes published both electronically and in a nationally distributed publication.
Submissions must be received by September 1, 2009 (11:59 PM, Eastern Time)
Blind electronic submissions should be sent to rhayes@aia.org
