Leo Burnett Hong Kong shows strong resistance to economic turmoil with two recent wins across beverage and finance industries: Old Town White Coffee and China UnionPay. Both are being handled by Leo Burnett Hong Kong’s subsidiary, STARS.
Old Town White Coffee is Malaysia’s leading coffee producer. Following a two-way pitch that includes the incumbent, Leo Burnett has been tasked to mount a print and outdoor campaign to boost their brand presence in Hong Kong, particularly in the three-in-one coffee market.
Leo Burnett Hong Kong has further extended its reach into the finance sector after beating two agencies to become China UnionPay’s agency of record. The appointment will be followed by an above-the-line campaign to be launched in the second quarter this year, aiming to enhance China
UnionPay’s image as an international brand.
“We are thrilled with the wins. During the current hard times when marketers are cutting back their budgets, these appointments clearly demonstrate clients’ trust in both our creative capability, as well as our human-oriented approach to engage consumers,” said Lilian Leong, General Manager for Leo Burnett Hong Kong.
“At the beginning of the year, we were determined to overcome the current downtime by growth. These wins prove that we did it. And we look forward to more encouraging achievements upcoming.” added Leong.
