LinkOptimizer helps users save valuable storage space, time and reduce production costs by eliminating excessive image data. The program automatically reduces the size of linked images with an effective resolution higher than the user-defined target resolution, as well as images that were cropped in InDesign. LinkOptimizer opens the images in Photoshop, automatically reduces their resolution, and scales and crops them, replicating their dimensions in the InDesign document. LinkOptimizer then reimports the images into the document at 100% in precise position.
Version 1.5 introduces several major new features such as safety bleed around images, ability to select which links to process, and the processing of non-proportionally scaled images. The link list is now resizable and users can also compare the size of each image before and after processing. LinkOptimizer 1.5 is a Universal Binary and runs natively on Intel-based Macs.
