Extended Deadline: City Of Sydney Multicultural Art Competition 2009
The City of Sydney is proud to announce the Multicultural Art Competition 2009 open for submissions.
The competition is a City of Sydney initiative to showcase illustrative artworks that tell a story or encapsulates an impression of the City’s diversity and multiculturalism. The competition intends to identify artworks to be used as the City of Sydney multicultural branding for promotional use at the City’s facilities, events, services and publications.
This is an opportunity for emerging and established artists to have their work displayed in public settings and to advance their professional careers. Artists must be 16 years of age or above.
Ten finalist works will be selected by a panel of judges comprised of art industry professionals, community services professionals and representatives from Inner & Eastern Sydney Migrant Interagency.
The following 10 prizes will be announced at the exhibition launch in the categories of:
One $2000 cash prize awarded to the competition winner
One $1000 cash prize awarded to the second prize
One $500 cash prize awarded to third prize
Seven $100 cash prizes awarded for highly commended
