Illustrators and agencies meet in Berlin: ILLUSTRATIVE 2009 is turning into a one-day
creative fair on October 17, 2009.
International agencies, online communities and creative magazines will come together for
Illustrative Portfolio Reviews, in Illustrative's exhibition area in Berlin-Mitte.
At this event, illustration agencies from all around the world will show their portfolios and
bring their illustrators together with agencies and the media. At the same time, representatives
of large advertising agencies, renowned publishing houses, art directors, editors and other
representatives of the media will have the chance to discover new talent. Decisions will be
made as to whose illustrations, cartoons and pictures will be published in newspapers,
magazines, books, or on large bill-boards in the future.
A rare symbiosis combining art and business is opening to visitors of Illustrative Portfolio
Reviews. While it's only going to be on the second day of the Illustrative exhibition (opening
on October 15) one floor of Villa Elisabeth will be open to visitors of the fair.
At this one day event, accompanied by workshops and lectures, the exhibiting agencies and communities will present the portfolios of their illustrators and graphic designers. The representatives of the advertisement and media industry will thus have the chance to get to know the people behind the artwork. After the "Illustrative Portfolio Reviews", a networking-party will deepen the newly found contacts with additional music and cocktails.
