About.com received the 2009 Best Publishing Web site award, About.com’s health Web site received the Health Care Standard of Excellence Award and ConsumerSearch.com received the Outstanding Web site Award. These awards mark the third consecutive year in which the About Group has won a WebAward.

The About Group Web sites were among more than 2,000 Web sites reviewed in over 45 countries and 96 industry categories for the 2009 competition. Entries were judged on design, copy writing, innovation, content, interactivity, navigation, and use of technology.
About.com is a Web site focused on delivering high quality, credible content, on a broad range of topics. ConsumerSearch.com analyzes expert and user-generated consumer product reviews and recommends the best products to purchase based on their findings.
Judging for the 2009 WebAward competition consisted of professionals from a variety of relevant disciplines of Web site development. They included members of the media, advertising executives, top Web site designers, content providers and Webmasters.
WebAwards mark the 10th award presented to the About Group this year. In 2008 About.com was also the recipient of the WebAward for Publishing Standard of Excellence and Health Care Standard of Excellence from the Web Marketing Association
