NYT Launches International Edition In Turkey
The New York Times has launched its international news supplement in Sabah in Turkey. The newspaper, which publishes the section in Turkish, joins a global network of newspapers that carry the international weekly, first introduced in 2002.

The international weekly retains the layout and typography of The New York Times and includes news coverage, features, commentary, color photos and graphics about the United States, world affairs, business, culture and social trends. It is prepared in New York by a team of editors and designers from The New York Times News Service and translated into Turkish by a team from Sabah.

“We are very happy to announce the launch of The New York Times section in Sabah ,” said Gloria Brown Anderson, VP international editorial development, The New York Times News Services division.

“We are looking forward to the opportunity to provide Sabah's readers with The Times's high-quality content of world news.”

Sabah launched on April 22, 1985. The newspaper is part of Calik-Turkuvaz Media Group, the second largest media group in Turkey which owns four newspapers; one of the largest national TV channels, ATV; a large magazine group including Forbes Turkey and Harpers Bazaar; and the radio channel Turkuvaz radio.
