The display was designed for AMC Movie Theaters to highlight a series of four collectable gift cards produced in connection with the release of the new Star Trek movie in May. The free-standing display features eye-catching metallic-foil printed collector gift cards which feature characters from the movie.
Earlier this month the winners of the 2009 "Design of the Times" contest were announced at a special awards reception during the In-Store Marketing Expo in Chicago. A panel of more than 100 marketing experts evaluated the entries and recognized the "cream of the in-store marketing crop" for their excellence in meeting the needs of a particular retail environment using a specific display type. The annual contest is highly respected within the in-store and retail community for recognizing ingenuity and design creativity amongst in-store marketing solutions.
The team at PhotoCraft worked with their internal design agency to create the display, which encouraged movie-goers to purchase all four versions of the collectable cards.
"Our goal was to provide a solution for the client - one that would promote their property and get noticed," said Rocky Schwalge, sales manager at PhotoCraft.
"The client was very happy with the results, and the fact that we earned an award for the design is something we are proud of."
