Moriarty will be responsible for developing products and functionality that enhance the user experience on About.com while offering advertisers new and efficient methods to reach their target audience.
Minskoff will oversee all aspects of the About Group's consumer and trade marketing efforts, including market research, public relations and general brand advertising initiatives.
Moriarty and Minskoff will be members of the About Group senior leadership team and will report directly to Cella Irvine, president and C.E.O., the About Group.
Before joining About.com, Moriarty built and managed digital businesses across The New York Times Company since 1994. He was most recently VP new media at The New York Times Company Regional Media Group, managing the digital operations and strategies of the group's 14 newspapers.
Moriarty also served as VP product and technology at The Boston Globe's Web site, Boston.com; director for classified products at NYTimes.com; general manager at GolfDigest.com and director of product development for WineToday.com.
Minskoff comes to the About Group from Digitas where he was VP/director, marketing. While at Digitas, he led streams of cross-channel marketing and advertising. Previously Minskoff held marketing roles within The Walt Disney Company, at Disney Publishing Worldwide and Disneyshopping.com, and earlier was assistant vice president at Citi Cards, where he managed consumer and online marketing targeting the travel and hospitality industries.
