This is the eighth year that El Mercurio’s Economia y Negocios section and Women Entrepreneurs have joined together to organise this annual award, which seeks to highlight outstanding women in the categories such as Entrepreneurs and Executives, Public/Social Service and Academics. Nominations came from all over Chile via a special website, with the final 100 chosen by a jury of prominent individuals.
Sutil said, "It's an honor and certainly a commitment to society, be distinguished as one of 100 women leaders of the country. It is a recognition that I receive with great joy and I offer to those who have been with my dreams, adventures and endeavours. Welcome any initiative that promotes the contributions of women in different ambits of society, since each of these experiences will become seeds that germinate, bloom and multiply by providing economic and social development of our peoples."
