Since November, arvato rewards has been purchasing all merchandise and incentive products in Asia for the 35 national subsidiaries of RDA. The total purchasing volume for the four-year contract amounts to a figure in the low nine-digit range. With this, arvato rewards continues to develop its position as one of the largest purchasing organizations for marketing and e-commerce.
"Reader's Digest Association is pleased to grow our partnership with arvato as well as optimize our procurement and supply chain capabilities with a successful global organization," said Albert Perruzza, SVP of RDA.
The Munich-based company is delighted to have attracted this additional international customer.
"With the contract from RDA, we're asserting our market leadership, and we'll continue to advance our internationalization strategy," said Derk Moller, Managing Direct rewards arvato rewards services GmbH. The partnership also holds many advantages for RDA: arvato's high purchasing volumes will allow RDA to achieve cost effects while also profiting from arvato's extensive capabilities to market the right products to precisely the right target groups.
The outsourcing market for purchasing services offers enormous potential in the coming years.
"The successful companies will primarily be those that have both marketing and purchasing capabilities, so they can purchase the right products at low cost," says Moller.
