Tasked to focus on MRM Worldwide’s offering as well as expand the digital capacity for the other disciplines which include McCann Erickson and Momentum within McCann Worldgroup in his new role, Saharath will report to Martin Lee, Chief Creative Officer, McCann Worldgroup Thailand.
In 1989, Saharath joined OgilvyOne Bangkok, where he became the pioneer of direct marketing in Thailand – overseeing a variety of clients. He joined Results Advertising in 1995. Within a year, Results Advertising became the creative hot shop as well as the most awarded agency in the country.
Following which, Saharath spent five years with Wunderman before moving on to OgilvyOne in 2003 where he won one of the most prestigious awards in DM category - DMAsia’s Best of Show. In the following year, he scooped one of the toughest-to-win awards in DM business, John Caple Awards and achieved number one ranking among OgilvyOne offices in Asia.
For two consecutive years at TDMA, Saharath swept more than 60% of the total awards. In 2008, he ranked number one in B.A.D. award digital category with 6 metals or 37% of total digital. He also earned AdFest, Times Asia-Pacific, Asian Brand Marketing Effectiveness, New York Fest, London International Advertising Awards, One Show, and Cannes Lions Awards. He was invited to judge numerous local, international awards shows which include Cannes Lions. In his recent seven years at OgilvyOne, he contributed 199 awards to the agency’s awards tally.
