Adobe Launches Virtual Museum Featuring “Groundbreaking” Digital Design
The Adobe Museum of Digital Media (AMDM), to open in 2 August 2010, is set to showcase and preserve “groundbreaking digital work and to present expert commentary on how digital media influences culture and society”, the company said.

It was unveiled at the Cannes Lions International Advertising Festival on 24 June by Adobe CEO Shantanu Narayen.

The museum will play host to exhibitions from photography to product development to broadcast communications. Each exhibit will be overseen by guest curators, who are each established in the fields of art, technology, or business.

Adobe says the AMDM is a “space unlike any created before” because it is “entirely digital”. The virtual building was designed by Italian architect Filippo Innocenti, described by Adobe as a “master of fluid urban designs for large, public installations”.
