Foursquare might pride itself on connecting people in the real world, but this of course doesn’t apply to everyone; there’ll always be that few people you have to avoid.
Call it 'anti-social media', but a new app called Avoidr, created by San Fransisco-based Jesper Andersen, hopes to circumvent this whole dreaded run-in with an ex, an enemy or maybe just that nosey relative we all have.
The app is powered by Foursquare, so signing up for the geo-tracking service is still required.
But choosing Avoidr’s ‘Places to Avoid’ function on Foursquare will produce a list of venues where those undesired people lurk, making that uncomfortable ‘bump into’ a thing of the past.
