There must be an iPhone app for just about everything now. Following SXSW’s cue, the State of Design festival has just released an app to help visitors navigate their way through the sprawling Melbourne event.

Set to begin on 14 July, the festival hopes to make things just a little bit more interactive and convenient with their first-ever iPhone app. It will hold event information, videos, audio and even give users the ability to set reminders.

The app can be downloaded for free from the iTunes store.

The State of Design will open in Melbourne’s Royal Exhibition Building, where visitors can view and purchase original works by Australian and international designers. This ‘Opening Night’ is one of the festival’s highlights, said the organisers in a statement.
