Creative Brochure Design Takes from Ricegrain Art
For years, the University of Aarhus in Denmark had experienced a decline in applications for its Nature Science course. A Danish design studio shows us how the 'smallest steps' can help to make a big difference and improve the situation.

Designed by studio Uncle Grey, 'The World's Smallest Brochure' is an attempt to boost the popularity of Nature Science studies among college students.

The brochure measures only 5 x 10mm, and has its text printed in an incredible point size of only 0.4, which forces students to look through its contents using a microscope.

The campaign was based on molecular biology, the study of microscopic organisms, and was built around the notion of the microscope being the most frequently-used equipment in the science lab.

Students from major universities were given the brochure, which contains information on the molecular studies course at the university.

Through this campaign, the Nature Science studies department saw a 67% increase in applications, and the effort was also what the design studio called their "most successful campaign ever".
