The napkins are a form of appreciation to McDonald's franchisees and business partners in Germany, where the fast food giant worked with German advertising agency Heye & Partner to produce the napkins, titled 'McDonald's 365'.
'McDonald's 365' is a napkin dispenser which serves as a tear off calendar, also with a short and simple message of "Einen Guten!" - which is German for "enjoy your meal" and "have a nice day" - printed on each napkin.
The concept behind 'McDonald's 365' is derived from the "magical moment of the McDonald’s experience -- the build-up of anticipation for the food that occurs when taking a napkin just before eating", which the ad agency hopes to deliver through the product.
