In celebrating its second anniversary, TweetDeck has on 12 July announced some figures tweeting its own horn, including the fact that its desktop app has been downloaded more than 15 million times.
This means that the TweetDeck desktop application is five times more popular than any other Twitter client, and its iPhone TweetDeck is also popular with over 2.5 million downloads.
The company also claims that about four million tweets and 30,000 images are sent out daily via TweetDeck.
TweetDeck founder and CEO Iain Dodsworth wrote in a blog post that his product will be moving toward a “multi-stream” service, or the “intersection of social networks”, which means the company might be moving onto a more inclusive social network browser.
Do you use TweetDeck? Or are there other Twitter/social media monitoring apps or websites that are better?
