In case we haven’t had enough of Helvetica over the past week, a new app by Rage Digital has brought the Swiss typeface over to Apple’s iPad.
‘HelvetiNote’ [iTunes link] replaces the ‘marker felt’ look of the device’s default note-taking app with a cleaner, more minimal interface befitting of the font.
The app offers a set of functions specifically optimized for iPad note-taking, including a drawing and erasing tool and the ability to export directly to email.
It looks simple and uncluttered, letting users concentrate on writing, but it comes in at a hefty US$2.99 at the iTunes App Store. For a note-taking app, this might just be a tad too much; well, unless you’re a huge Helvetica fanboy of course.
