If Facebook feeds and Twitter updates are too cluttered for you, there’s a new iPad app that transforms all these into one pretty little package.
Flipboard’s app will build a magazine for you from the content shared by your Facebook friends or those you follow on Twitter. It will render images and links right in the magazine, so clicking on that bit.ly link won’t be necessary anymore.
The app has been designed to look and feel like print, which makes “social media less noisy, more visually compelling and ultimately more mainstream”, said Flipboard CEO Mike McCue.
Considering Twitter never did have the most attractive website design, this is great stuff. But the best part isn’t that it looks gorgeous; it’s that Flipboard is completely free.
