The borough just got a lot ‘artier’. The New York Photo Festival has just launched a new contest and exhibition, ‘Capture Brooklyn’, that celebrates the borough as New York’s new cultural epicenter.
The contest seeks to “capture the spirit and essence of Brooklyn, and to showcase the vitality of photography happening in the hottest part of New York”, goes its website.
80 jury-selected photographs will be exhibited at The powerHouse Arena in Brooklyn, and photographers have until 29 August to send in their vision of the bustling neighborhood.
The show will officially open during the Dumbo Arts Festival on 24 September, and will run through 15 October.
Visit the contest page for details on how to submit entries.
