The light might be bright, but these lampshades will paint your room in a gloomy shade. The rather grotesque X-Ray Lamp uses actual x-ray film as its shade, making this light source part-medical exhibit.
Stockholm-based designer Sture Pallarp was the creative mind behind this weird idea; the project was actually conceived as a school assignment (design, we figure, not medical).
While it won’t exactly match your everyday bedroom, it does make a potent centerpiece, especially if you could modify the lampshades to use your personal x-ray images.
