Google loves making things easy for developers, it seems. The online giant recently launched a DIY Android app maker and Font Directory. And now, Google is giving the latter a cousin web app: Google Font Previewer.
The Font Previewer allows designers, developers and even the not-so-technologically-inclined folk a chance to add new fonts to their sites by automatically generating code.
It allows users to select a typeface and adjust various things like kerning, leading and point-size, all while displaying how the text will look onscreen. There’s even a ‘Toggle controls’ option that lets you see just how the typeface will look on just a plain white screen.
And the best part? The Font Previewer will automatically bring up a tasty bit of CSS code for you to copy and paste into your website.
