Sergey Larenkov, a Russian photographer, has mixed old war photographs with images from the same location with a bit of perspective-matching thrown in to make them seamless.
It’s not a huge Photoshop job by any stretch, but their results are compelling. And eerie. We get stern-looking generals in thick coats standing amid colorful tourists; tanks rolling through busy cobblestone streets; and a brigade of Soviet flag-toting soldiers on a modern day highway.
