How many times have we clicked on an innocuous-sounding YouTube link only for 80s pop icon Rick Astley to jump out and start dancing? We never thought it could happen, but now typography is the latest thing to get rick rolled. (At least we're warning you first).

In an ‘experiment’ by designer Roman Cortes, the lyrics to “Never Gonna Give You Up” were laid in type and then repositioned to compose an animation of Astley and his cheesy dance moves.

Cortes includes a slider bar so hapless users can adjust the amount of copy and Astley they’d like to see in the animation; at its highest setting, the animation will revert back to the lyric sheet. We’re not so sure if that’s better either.
