Voyeurism is really in these days, what with Foursquare, Chatroulette and the whole social media zeitgeist. And now, a new project by two Russians wants you to empty your pockets to show to the world.
Timur Akhmetov and Yulia Yakushova came up with the ‘Face Your Pockets’ project to figure out just who carries what. The project encourages people to scan the contents of their pockets—along with their face—and email them the resulting image.
And it’s not entirely random stuff so far that’s up on the website. People’s occupations can clearly be discerned from their pockets, unsurprisingly. Like an art director with rolls of film, a sound technician with CDs, and an architect with a dimension tool, each person’s occupation matches with what they bring around.
