The Art Directors Club (ADC) have on 3 August announced the latest group of inductees into its ADC Hall of Fame.
The ADC Hall of Fame was incepted in 1971 as a cross-disciplinary acknowledgement of professionals in visual arts and communications. Past inductees include Walt Disney, Milton Glaser, Annie Leibovitz and Andy Warhol, among others.
This year’s honorees will be inducted on 4 November in New York, with proceeds from this event going toward ADC scholarship programs.
So on to the laureates for the 2010 ADC Hall of Fame:
Fabien Baron, creative director; currently editorial director, Interview magazine
Matthew Carter, typographer
William Drenttel and Jessica Helfand, founders, Winterhouse
Philip Hays (posthumous), illustrator, educator
Brigitte Lacombe, photographer
George Nelson (posthumous), designer, author
Christoph Niemann, illustrator
Dan Wieden, co-founder, Wieden+Kennedy
