Pixels and pop up don’t exactly mix, but that didn’t stop Korean designer Daisy Lew from conjuring up a 3D New York City within the pages of a book.
Her ‘Pop Up NYC’ project is homage to the city that has adopted her, and expresses through 3D pixels several of the city’s icons like the Chrysler Building and the Statue of Liberty.
But this is where the book stands out—those pixels, when viewed from a different angle, are really buildings, a tribute to the famed New York cityscape.
