Most artists sculpt their creations out of clay, metal, or even ice. But artist Dalton Ghetti chooses to carve graphite and wood instead. To be specific, Ghetti makes each of his miniature sculptures out of a single pencil.
These works are astounding as they are somewhat unbelievable. Despite the size of his projects, the artist does not use any magnifying tool to sculpt these graphite creations. A regular razor blade, sculpting knife and sewing needle are the three primary tools of his trade.
Each piece takes Ghetti an average of a few months to complete. His most complex pencil sculpture took him two-and-a-half years to complete because of its intertwining chain in its middle.
Even if you desire to own one of these well-crafted pencil sculptures, none of them are on sale as the artist prefers to present them as gifts to friends.
