In another creative take on the crowdsourcing trend, global innovation and design firm frogdesign has launched frogMob, a platform where problems can be creatively solved.

frogMob is much like the OpenIDEO idea, but without the social good element. Instead, frogMob will post everyday topics or questions that users can attempt to provide solutions for. Examples include creative fixes for power-cord organization, and innovative modifications on bicycles for work use.

Ethnography is something frogMob is keeping an eye on. Not only does the firm claim that “everyone can be an ethnographer”, there is a ‘Power Leader Board’ on the website that ranks the amount of ideas submitted by country. At the time of this report, Shanghai leads the pack with 91 submissions, followed by San Fransisco’s 74.
